  1. East Anglian character

Posted by David Brown on 6th Mar 2023

For years, I wondered if there were any out-takes from John Betjeman Goes By Train, having enjoyed this splendid production, it seems unlikely. It is a wonderful film on what was my favourite branch line that was run down by BR and its accountants. Something About Diss is also a marvellous study in British architecture, history and rural character. I was sorry to learn that footage of a third film on King's Lynn was lost.
