The Drifters what a legend of American Soul Music.They started in 1954 with Hits such as "Money Honey" and "Such a Night" both covered by Elvis Presley.This was when their lead singer was Clyde McPhatter.Their lead singer changed to Ben E King who left in 1961.Ben is also featured on this DVD singing his solo rare classic Stand by Me".They had a mass of hits in the 1960's and were a huge act in Britain in the 1970's.I actually had the rare chance to see them in London in 1968 and they were amazing.So come on a fantastic musical journey with this DVD showing 32 superb performances.
