Aretha Franklin was a superb Jazz and Soul Singer & Pianist.Every one who has heard her name says Oh Queen of Soul but few have really seen the real Aretha.She was initially a fine Jazz singer and Piano Player and many of her Jazz numbers are seen on this DVD.She was at her best from 1961 until 1971.

Most of the songs you see her sing on this DVD are from 1964 until 1971 when she was truly great.Most of her numbers in the 70's after that lacked something but she recovered again in the 1980's
