Pre Beatles [ 1963 ] British artists soon were influenced by these great sounds and very soon the British charts were full of great acts like Tommy Steele,Helen Shapiro,Billy Fury,Cliff Richard and the Shadows and Jet Harris.

Until 1963 British Rock n Roll never broke big in America although many Americans thought it was good stuff.The only way the British were to really break America was to produce even better sounds than the Americans and in 1963 they started to do this.

Nevertheless there were some great sounds coming out of Britain just see song no 21 " Move It" by Cliff Richard & The Drifters [shortly to become The Shadows].One of the finest peices of Rock n Roll on record.
